We are excited that our friends from Robert Evans Studios have launched a new cinematography company for weddings called Engaging Films.  All we can say is wow! The company is led by the very talented Curt Apanovich (member of Modern Photographers).  Check out some of Curt’s video work at www.curtapanovich.com.  Now, he’ll be bringing the same talent that supplies Disney and Pixar with video content to the bridal world.  Check out the film that just premiered today!  (Not suitable for all ages, please don’t click if you are offended by bare skin).

Contributed by Agnes Lopez,

Mary Kay & Michael met in an airport in Ohio when their flight was delayed. At the Cinnabon counter Mary Kay said “I’ll have what he’s having” and Michael graciously offered to pay for the cinnamon roll. Mary Kay refused. Michael insisted. I can only imagine what the poor Cinnabon employee thought as the two bickered over who was paying.

Since they met in an airport I thought it would be really cool to photograph them in an airplane graveyard I had been waiting for the right time to use. It wasn’t an easy location to get to and we braved broken glass, sand spurs, and bugs to get these pictures but it was definitely worth it!

For engagement shoots I really like to find out about my couples beforehand and come up with a unique location that fits their story or personalities. Finding something that complements my couples and makes them think about how they fell in love is a great way to put them at ease and get those natural shots.
