“Every couple has their own story and meaning behind their images. I really get personal with my clients and try to learn more about them by having them fill out a questionnaire. From the questionnaire, I get ideas on locations and themes for each engagement session. This way my images can truly tell the story of my clients and bring them back to the wealth of emotion they felt the moment the image was captured. I love the new found friendships that I have built through the ‘Modern’ way of photography.” - Val McCormick

Meet Karen & Minh. They flew us down to Southern CA for their engagement session last spring and we had a blast capturing their personalities on camera. They planned an entire (awesome) day of photography in downtown Los Angeles. We started at Union Station and then after a detour to In-N-Out for some burgers and fries, we headed over to Olvera Street to capture the historic streets and character of La Placita Church. Photographing in L.A. drew lots of attention from curious star-starved bystanders, but Karen & Minh handled the attention like celebrities and we had an absolute blast working with them! Enjoy a few of our favorite shots from the day~Airika & Gerald
